ECOTHERM presented the brand new EXOKON shower water chiller at the construction show in Kuwait together with further innovations.
From 14th to 16th of September ECOTHERM exhibited at the third Big 5 exhibition in Kuwait. One of the highlights of the Austrian specialist for individual solar, hot water and steam systems was the new EXOKON Shower Water Chiller SCHP 395. “With less than 500W electrical connection power more than 500 litres of cold water with 15ºC can be supplied vor a villa within 24 hours,” says Herbert B. Bremstaller, founder and CEO of ECOTHERM Austria GmbH. The plug-and-play unit consists of a storage tank, a heat pump and a controller and was specially designed for Middle East. Additionally ECOTHERM presented the hot water heat pump EXOKON HWHP 395 and the EXOKON Thermosyphon Solar Water Heaters. Since 2011 ECOTHERM has been operating a local office in Kuwait. The so far largest project in Kuwait is the turnkey hot water and steam system for the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Hospital in Kuwait – with 1,100 beds, the largest general hospital in Kuwait, and the largest hospital in the world within one single building structure.
EXOKON Shower Water Chiller
“In the Middle East – and especially in Kuwait – the cold water in a villa can easily reach more than 40ºC during summer. Therefore it significantly improves the quality of life having a large reservoir of cold water,” Herbert Bremstaller explains. The EXOKON Shower Water Chiller SCHP 395 can cool down more than 500 litres of water from more than 40ºC to 15ºC via the integrated heat pump during a day. The cold water is then stored in a 266 litres storage tank. “Further advantages are the easy installation, the small footprint, the high quality of this product from Western Europe, and the low price,” knows Herbert Bremstaller.
EXOKON Hot Water Heat Pump
Using the same technology as the EXOKON Shower Water Chiller, the EXOKON Hot Water Heat Pump HWHP 395 can heat up more than 850 litres of water to 60ºC within 24 hours with less than 500W electrical connection power.
Save up to 92% energy using photovoltaic
Since the EXOKON units only need 500W, just a few standard photovoltaic panels are enough to supply almost all of the required electrical power. Compared to electric water heaters, the EXOKON Hot Water Heat Pump can save already up to 72% of the energy. When coupled with a small photovoltaic system, up to 92% of the electrical energy for the hot water generation can be saved for a villa.
Turnkey solar, hot water and steam systems
The core business of ECOTHERM are turnkey solar, hot water and steam systems – especially for hotels, hospital and industry. The complete system is pre-assembled, pre-piped and pre-wired in the headquarters in Austria. After pre-testing the system is disassembled in big skid-mounted units and shipped on site. These units can then be easily installed in the plant room. “Therefore even compact steam systems can be installed within only a couple of days,” states Herbert Bremstaller.
